“NOT ALL OF US CAN DO GREAT THINGS BUT WE CAN DO SMALL THINGS WITH GREAT LOVE”- Mother Teresa
On Saturday June 30,2018 , The Outreach Outlet got this student of the Immaculate Conception High School the opportunity to volunteer at The Bethsalem Home For the Aged. Our Founder, Amanda, had gone to meet her with our complementary care package before her journey to her Youth Can Do IT workshop. She decided to stay and help before going.
Aaliyah Myrie came and jumped into work immediately after her arrival with enthusiasm and willingness. The true turn of a caregiver.
We were honoured to work with her. This is her reveiw :
“I became aware of Outreach Outlet when the link to their Instagram page was sent in a mass Biology WhatsApp group chat which I was apart of. I proceeded to follow their page and message them on Instagram, as I was seeking volunteer opportunities. I found that their responses were prompt, professional and indeed very beneficial.
Thanks to outreach outlet, I was given the opportunity to volunteer at The Bethsalem Home for the Aged and it was quite a fulfilling experience which I hope to do again soon. Volunteering at the home helped me to garner a better appreciation of the part young people can play in making our society a better place.’ – Aaliyah Myrie
